The House in God's Hands depicts the James & Ellen White Home at sunset. The White family lived in this house in Battle Creek, Michigan, from 1856-1863. In this home, Ellen White first wrote about the "Great Controversy." The artwork's title comes from stories of the building's various neighbors, who—over the many decades since the Whites lived there—have said they believe that the house is in God's hands and under the special protection of His angels. The digital painting is based upon a series of photographs taken by Chris Small at Historic Adventist Village after a day of filming for the documentary War in Heaven, War on Earth.
A unique combination of photography and digital artistry by Chris Small, this is a 35"x15" museum quality giclée on canvas in a limited edition of 1450. Canvas giclées are prized by collectors, artists, museums and galleries for their fidelity and quality. Your giclée canvas print is made directly on heavy 20 mil. museum quality canvas using archival pigment inks and covered with a satin UV protective coating. The canvas is hand stretched around a poplar wooden stretcher frame. The deep museum wrap style of your new canvas is designed for immediate hanging without framing, unless especially desired.
